What Is Hoistack?

Hoistack is a web- and mobile-based crane tracking system built for industrial overhead cranes. It lets you monitor operating status, running hours, maintenance timing, fault notifications and critical events from a single panel.

Positioning

What Hoistack does, and doesn't

Hoistack monitors the operating data of overhead, bridge, travelling and gantry cranes: running hours, current, temperature, fault/alarm and maintenance status. In other words it tracks the crane's operation and health, not its location. It sends fault notifications and feeds data into maintenance planning.

Hoistack ne değildir?

  • It is not a remote crane-operation system; it monitors and reports crane data.
  • It is not a personnel or location (RTLS) tracking system.

How much does a crane stoppage cost?

The cost of unplanned downtime is often hidden: lost production, missed shipments, overtime and emergency maintenance. With a simple framework you can estimate your own cost.

Monthly unplanned downtime hours × hourly production loss + (missed shipments + overtime + emergency maintenance)

Yıllık (×12)
₺1.380.000

The Problem

Still managing your cranes by guesswork?

In most factories a crane is assumed “fine as long as it runs.” Yet the most expensive failures start exactly when no one is watching. Sound familiar?

“The bridge crane stopped at night. Nobody noticed; the fault was only seen by the 07:00 morning shift.”

Recurring Failures

“The same crane failed again this month, and nobody still knows why.”

Without Hoistack the cause of a crane failure stays invisible; Hoistack makes it visible.
Maintenance Timing

“When was maintenance last done?” The answer lives in a notebook, in people's memory.

Without Hoistack you have to remember maintenance timing and dig it out of a notebook. Hoistack records it automatically and alerts you when it's due.
Lack of Visibility

“Right now, which of the 22 cranes is running, idle or at risk? The answer takes several phone calls.”

Without Hoistack the fleet's status is invisible and you chase each crane separately. Hoistack makes it clear at a glance on a single panel.

A Real Crane-Tracking Scenario

When a critical fault or stoppage occurs on an overhead crane, Hoistack detects the event, shows it on the panel and notifies the relevant teams. The event history is logged; the maintenance team can later review running hours, fault time and past events.

From Manual Tracking to Digital Crane Tracking

Manual Process
Digital Tracking with Hoistack
Maintenance records are kept in a notebook or Excel. You have to remember when maintenance is due.
Maintenance and operating data are tracked digitally. An automatic notification is sent when it's due.
Faults are usually noticed during a site walk. Downtime length, missed shipments and cost are unclear.
Critical events are visible instantly via the panel and notifications. Downtime, missed shipments and estimated cost are clearly known.
It's unclear how much each crane runs. Running hours are usually estimated, not recorded.
Running hours are tracked per crane. How much each crane runs and when it needs maintenance is clear.
Cranes at different sites are managed separately. There's no site-wide visibility.
The whole operation is monitored on one panel. Cranes at different sites are managed on the same platform, with fleet-wide visibility.

FAQ

Frequently asked about crane tracking

A crane tracking system is a hardware + software solution that monitors, in real time, the operating status, running hours, faults and maintenance needs of overhead cranes in factories and sites. Hoistack connects brand-independently to the drive in your cranes' existing panel, moves the data to the cloud and provides web and mobile access from a single panel.

What is a crane tracking system?

A crane tracking system measures, in real time, the operating time, current, speed, temperature and fault/alarm states of a facility's bridge, gantry, jib and travelling cranes and collects them on a single panel. Its goal is to prevent unplanned downtime, enable predictive maintenance and provide fleet visibility. Hoistack does this with a brand-independent edge device and a cloud panel.

What does the Hoistack crane tracking system do?

It shows at a glance which crane is running, idle or in fault; it sends a notification by phone and email the moment a fault occurs; it gives early warning on abnormal changes in signals like temperature and load. So you plan maintenance on real data, reduce unexpected downtime and lower your maintenance cost.

Can it be installed on my existing cranes? Which brands is it compatible with?

Yes. You don't need to buy new cranes. Hoistack connects brand-independently to the drive (inverter) in the crane's existing panel. It works with common drive brands, primarily Schneider and Shihlin.

How long does installation take? Does it stop production?

Installation takes minutes, not hours. A small device is attached to each crane's drive; no cabling or system change is needed. It can be commissioned without stopping production, while the existing cranes run.

What data does it monitor?

Running hours, current, speed, motor/drive temperature and fault-alarm codes are read automatically. This data is stored as a time series and used for historical analysis, predictive maintenance and reporting.

Will I lose my data if the internet drops?

No. The edge device buffers data locally (offline buffer). When the connection drops, measurements are stored on the device and transferred to the cloud in full once the internet returns.

Can I access it from web and mobile?

Yes. You can monitor your whole fleet live from both the web panel and your mobile device, and receive fault notifications instantly. Whether it's 20 cranes or 200, they're all on one screen.

Is my data secure?

All communication between the device and the cloud goes over an end-to-end encrypted connection. Data is kept separate for each customer; each customer accesses only their own fleet's data.

How do I get started / how is pricing?

Just fill in the demo request form. We get to know your fleet and prepare an installation and price quote tailored to your number of cranes and site infrastructure. Our installation team comes on site.

Does Hoistack remotely control the crane?

No. Hoistack is focused on monitoring and reporting; it reads and reports crane data and does not remotely control crane movement.

Is a separate device needed for each crane?

Usually each crane is monitored with its own field device; the data from all devices is collected on a single panel.

Which cranes and drives does it work with?

Hoistack is brand-independent; it connects to the drive in the crane's existing panel. It works with common brands, primarily Schneider and Shihlin, with exact compatibility confirmed by a short site assessment.

What happens to data if the internet drops?

Data is buffered on the field device (offline buffer) and transferred to the cloud in full once the connection returns; no gap in records is left.

How often is data updated?

Data is read at regular intervals, near real time; fault and alarm events are notified the moment they occur.

Are there user roles and permissions?

Yes. Panel access is managed with user authorization and each customer's data is kept separate per company.

Who owns the data? (KVKK / GDPR)

Your fleet's data belongs to you; only users you authorize can access it. Data processing follows data-protection principles with per-company separation.

Is a local installation possible instead of cloud?

Depending on your needs, cloud or local installation options can be considered; the right architecture is determined during the site assessment.
